Bulletin Board

The Bulletin Board is a viewer displaying all rendered publications and alerts earmarked for the user, their conversation threads, and the status of any model processing jobs.

Once entering the main "lobby" of the Bulletin Board, users will see a simple status dashboard of all the relevant items in each of their boards (purple box below).

Accessing the Bulletin Board

You can access the Bulletin Board from the following places:

  • From your Home Page (orange arrow below), click the Bulletin Board button in the Home Menu at the top-right (green arrow).
  • When you have one of the Apps open, you can open the Bulletin Board from the Bulletin Board shortcut (see below).

Note: The blue highlight above shows the App Toolbox when you are viewing the Bulletin Board. Use this menu to move between the CMS, the Admin Console, the Apps, and so on. For more information, see App Toolbox.

Bulletin Board Shortcut

You can open the Bulletin Board when you are in the tabbed Apps view (in the following example, when you are using Discover), using the shortcut options in the bottom right:

  • Click the Pin icon to open the bulletin board messaging framework. Note: If there are unread messages, a red bubble is shown alongside the PIN.
  • Click the Pop-up menu alongside the Pin icon to open the Feeds Shortcut and go directly to a specified feed, without using the bulletin board. Each of these boards is described below.

Boards

Users can click on the Bulletin toolbox (orange box above) to access the bulletin boards:

  • Publications: The Publication board displays a list of rendered publication reports that have been posted to the user's inbox.
  • Alerts: The Alerts board displays a list of rendered alert messages that have been posted to the user's inbox.
  • Workflows and Conversations:The Workflows and Conversations board displays all of a user's workflow and conversation threads. This includes threads initiated by the user, or those that have the user as a participant.
  • Subscriptions: The Subscription board displays a list of rendered subscription reports that have been posted to the user's inbox.
  • Models: The Models board displays a list of completed model processing jobs that have been triggered by the user.

Tip: You can add a "Quick View" of the Bulletin Boards described above to your Admin Hub. For example, adding the Widget Preset "Publications" incorporates a panel containing the last 10 publication schedules that were executed to your Admin Hub. For more information, see Admin Hub.

Admin View

Admins will see a Switch to admin view button (blue arrow above). This admin view displays alerts, schedules, and conversations for all users in the system, as you can see in the image below.

To switch back to your own view, click Switch to user view (blue arrow below).
